About this machine
What it is and what it is good for.
Centre lathe built by SARO, Romania. Turning Ø 600 mm on the guides and Ø 320 mm on the long cross-slide, with 3 000 mm between centers and a permissible workpiece weight of 3 000 kg.
The main spindle offers 12 speeds from 8 to 1 250 rpm, driven by a 22 kW motor. Machine weight 5 500 kg. It comes with a four jaw face plate, a live centre and a steady rest.
