About this machine
What it is and what it is good for.
A TOS SU50A centre lathe, one of the most widely used conventional lathes ever built in Czechoslovakia. Solid, simple and easy to keep running — spare parts and operators who know it are still everywhere in Europe.
It swings Ø 500 mm over the bed and takes 1 000 mm between centers, with spindle speeds from 11.2 to 1 400 rpm and 87 feed steps. At 3 tonnes it is a machine a normal workshop floor and a normal crane can handle, which is why this size sells quickly.
