What it is and what it is good for.
A WMW-MODUL ZFWZ 6300 × 40/1 gear hobbing machine built in Germany around 1970 — one of the largest hobbers of its generation and a machine there are very few of left anywhere in Europe. It cuts wheels up to Ø 7 100 mm in module 45, on a table of Ø 5 300 mm, with a face width of up to 1 500 mm.
The hob is Ø 500 mm and turns from 9 to 63 rpm. Helical angles up to 45° are possible and the milling cutter head takes 400 × 500 mm. Total power requirement is 47 kW.
It comes fully equipped: a normal hobbing head, a tangential hobbing head for worm wheels, an internal milling head for internal gears, the change gear set and the supports. That is the complete package — buying these heads separately, if you could even find them, would cost more than many machines.
The machine weighs 160 tonnes. For the price, an inspection in Romania, further photographs and delivery terms, send us an enquiry.
