About this machine
What it is and what it is good for.
A TITAN FLP 2200 × 8000 plano miller built in Romania in 1981 — a portal milling machine for machine beds, welded frames, press parts and any long workpiece that will not fit on a bed-type mill. The table measures 2 200 × 8 000 mm and the columns stand 2 660 mm apart.
The crossrail travels 1 600 mm and the saddle carrying the milling spindle travels 2 600 mm, with the ram adding another 1 000 mm of vertical reach. Working feeds run from 10 to 3 000 mm/min on both, with 3 000 mm/min rapid and a 3 mm/min positioning feed for setting up accurately.
The machine stands 21 250 mm long, 6 800 mm wide and 6 650 mm high, and it is under power — you can see it running when you come to inspect it.
